You Have Died
The village will remember the lesson. Begin again at the Jelling Stone.

A Thomas and Seth Hansen Game
Jelling Stone
You are Harald Bluetooth, holding a young Viking village while the coast closes in. Visit the rune
stone in the center of town to unlock buildings and make Harald stronger.
Expand with resource buildings and defense structures.
Recruit new villagers and train warriors.
Assign villagers to wood, fish, fur, hunting, or guard work.
Defend raids that get stronger over time. Eventually Jarl Skarde Red-Tooth comes ashore.
Be careful. If Harald dies, you start over.
Explore deeper into the woods and across the sea.
Defeat enemies to earn runes.
Seth and I started vibe coding this with Codex on April 26, 2026 as a father-son project. It is still
a prototype, with raids on other players' villages, dungeons, bosses, and a campaign coming soon.
What We Are Making
Jellingstone began on April 26, 2026, a father-and-son forge of vibe coding,
AI prompting, game design, TypeScript, Three.js, and many good laughs by the hearth.
It is a tiny playable Viking village where Harald Bluetooth can walk the coast,
gather supplies, talk with villagers, study the Jelling Stone, build defenses,
and hold the shore against raiders.
What You Can Do Now
A living prototype, not a trailer
The village already has movement, combat, resources, building, raids that grow stronger,
a rune menu, creator messages, and a growing coast around it.
Guide Harald with click or tap movement.
Talk with villagers and use the Jelling Stone.
Gather wood, food, fish, fur, and Rune Points.
Assign villagers to useful work.
Build palisades, towers, and storehouses.
Defend the village from longboat raids and Jarl Skarde Red-Tooth.
Send feedback to Thomas and Seth for bonus runes.
Enter through the Vibe Jam portal route.
Message the Forge
Do you have ideas for the game?
Send a request, favorite moment, rough edge, or wild idea, and the same
rune-message form will carry it to us.
Roadmap
Coming Soon
The village is still growing. These are the next big dreams and near-term improvements
we are shaping from playtests and the project todo list.
Share villages with friends, then raid, defend, and compare the settlements you build.
Trade with other villages, conquer rival settlements, and unite Denmark and Scandinavia under Harald Bluetooth's banner.
A single-player campaign with dungeons, boss fights, and new threats beyond the village coast.
Farms that grow barley, adding another resource to gather, protect, and spend.
A diary or journal where discovered guidance messages can be reread.
Clearer villager callouts, hint dialogue, raid readability, and resource-stealing moments.
More satisfying building controls, including better placement orientation before confirming.
What Changed Each Day

The settlement grew real jobs
Build resource-specific stores for wood, food, fish, and fur, each adding a new villager.
Assign individual villagers to work, watch task bubbles, and train blue-clad warriors at the barracks.
Repair damaged buildings, restart cleanly from settings, and start over if Harald falls.
Hunt deer and wolves for food and fur while raids grow toward Jarl Skarde Red-Tooth.
Apr 29, 2026
The village learned to answer back
Leave a message for Thomas and Seth from the rune menu and earn bonus Rune Points.

Gather wood, send villagers to cut trees, and watch trees regrow over time.
Use clearer path previews while moving and building around the coast.
Apr 27, 2026
The coast became a 3D voxel world
Walk through a Three.js voxel landscape with height, water, props, shadows, and effects.
Meet NPC villagers near a larger Viking settlement.
Explore a wider shoreline shaped by the first proto-Scandinavia world sampler.
Use early world editing tools that help the village grow beyond one small map.

Harald took his first steps
Move Harald around the prototype with click or tap controls.
Interact with the Jelling Stone and get clear hover and movement feedback.
Fight wolves in the first pass of combat.
Start shaping the world with terrain elevation, seed previews, and early character art direction.
